As a resident of Long Beach, you and your family have free access to this discount Prescription Drug Card program. Simply download your Prescription Drug Card and receive savings of up to 75% at more than 50,000 national and regional pharmacies. You may create as many cards as you need. Participating pharmacies include the following: Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kroger, Giant Eagle, Eckerd Drugs, Publix, BI MART, Longs, Sav-on, Osco and Target, as well as thousands of independent pharmacies. Although UNA endeavors to negotiate prices lower than retail for medications, there is no guarantee that the price offered is the lowest available in the area; therefore, the City of Long Beach encourages consumers to compare prices among pharmacies, especially discount pharmacies. Signing up for a Long Beach UNA Rx Card does not mean that the card must be used for any or all prescriptions; participation in the program is entirely voluntary. Consumers should be aware that the City of Long Beach will be reimbursed by UNA 50 cents per prescription filled in the program; these funds will be used to pay for public health programs delivering services to uninsured individuals.
